Count Basie – 88 Basie Street: Rare Limited Edition 2003 US Analogue Productions 6-track double LP, cut at 45rpm on 180gram Vinyl by AcousTech Mastering, a wonderful audiophile edition of the 1984 album on Pablo. Features Basie’s classic trademark big band plus two tracks recorded with a small group including Joe Pass, housed in a deluxe & individually numbered picture sleeve. The cover shows very little of its age whilst the vinyl grades Excellent [tiny letter annotation on third label] to Near Mint with very few signs of play
Bill Evan -Portrait In Jazz: Rare Limited Edition 2004 US Analogue Productions 9-track double LP cut at 45rpm on 180gram Vinyl by AcousTech Mastering, a wonderful audiophile edition of the 1960 classic on Riverside, recorded with Scott LaFaro& Paul Motian. Comes housed in a deluxe & individually numbered picture sleeve, still in the original custom stickered tearbag which remains unopened. Both vinyl discs are mint & unplayed
Eric Dolphy – Last Date: Very rare 1964 UK 6-track mono LP on a rough textured black & silver Fontana label, the last recorded concert from the legendary modern jazz artist [Dolphy passed away at just 27], recorded on June the 2nd that year in Hilversum, Holland, with Misja Mengelberg [piano], Jacques Schols [bass] & Hank Bennink [drums], pasted laminate picture sleeve. The sleeve sho signs of shelf wear around the edges & back [nothing excessive], and, aside from some light spindle wear, the vinyl is in Excellent condition with just a few faint hairlines visible.
