You only have to look at the history of metal to realise how vast and extensive the genre is. It has spawned numerous subgenres, that have, in turn, given way to their own new and inventive genres, and so on. Realistically, who ever thought we would be living in a world where atmospheric post-black metal would be a thing…
Below are a few of our latest arrivals from the metal world, and you can find more at eil.com.
DEATH – Human: Rare 1991 Dutch 8-track LP, not only one of the greatest Death Metal records of all time but one of the Top 5 Technical/Prog Metal albums of the nineties, period! Includes guest appearances from guitarist Paul Masvidal & drummer Sean Reinert of the equally legendary, Cynic, glossy picture sleeve with illustrated inner. The sleeve displays only very light signs of its age, there is only one small split in the inner, whilst the vinyl only has a couple of minor cosmetic marks to indicate play. Highly recommended.
Sepultura – Arise: (Rare Autographed 1991 Dutch 9-track vinyl LP, the fourth studio album by Brazilian heavy metal band, glossy picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve displays some minor wear mostly to the edges and the vinyl has some minor surface marks and is graded good. This has been boldly signed by Igor Cavalera in gold and Andreas Kisser in black. This is only really being sold for the autographs as the vinyl is not really good enough for play, ideal for framing!
Opeth – Still Life: 2012 UK 7-track double LP pressed on Audiophile quality 180 Gram Heavyweight Vinyl, the fourth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band originally released in 1999, glossy gatefold picture sleeve with lyric printed inners. The sleeve shows minimal wear whilst the vinyl shows little evidence of play.
