Watch Chvrches cover Beyonce’s XO

Chvrches recently performed a cover of the Beyonce single, XO.

It was recorded during as session at New York’s Power Station studios, with only a piano and subtle acoustic guitar accompanying Chvrches vocalist, Lauren Mayberry.

“I’m aware I can’t sing like Beyonce,” Mayberry said, who called their take a homage rather than a cover. “But this [song] at least seemed like we could turn it into an alternative jam.”

It comes as Chvrches gear up to release their third album, Love Is Dead on May 25th, which is available to pre-order now.
