Byron Morris and Unity – Vibrations, Themes & Serenades: Private Spiritual Jazz 1978 US first press 6-track LP, including a number of Scat workouts with Jay Clayton on vocals & an inventive reading of Mingus’ ‘Goodbye Pork Pie Hat’, Byron Morris studied with Ornette Coleman & Rahsaan Roland Kirk so expect a deep spiritual journey on this rare longplayer. This copy originates from the private collection of a former staff member for Dobells record shop in Charing Cross, & these originalUS first pressings can be distinguished via the two ridges on the black & yellow labels found here. The pasted picture sleeve is Near Mint with no deletion cuts & still in the original open shrink, complete with the illustrated/biographical insert. The vinyl is stunning Near Mint EPI-03)
Art Pepper – The Complete Pacific Jazz Small Group Recordings Of Art Pepper: Limited edition 1983 US Mosaic audiophile 23-track triple vinyl LP set, housed in a beautifully presented monochrome box with front pasted picture cover and hand numbered 8-page LP sized booklet, featuring stunning black & white session photographs and extensive liner notes. The box has minimal evidence of shelfwear and despite minor signs of play, the vinyl remains in excellent condition.
Coleman Hawkins – Soul: 1959 UK 7-track mono LP also featuring Kenny Burrell [Guitar], Ray Bryant [Piano], Wendell Marshall [Bass] & Osie Johnson [Drums], front laminated flipback picture sleeve. Apart from the beginnings of a split to the top seam, the flimsy sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing & the vinyl remains in excellent condition & looks barely played.
