MILES DAVIS Sketches Of Spain: Rare 1960 Dutch 5-track stereo LP on a rough textured black & silver Fontana label, arranged & conducted by Gil Evans. One day Miles played Evans the piece Concierto de Aranjuez for classical guitar & orchestra by Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo & the rest became jazz history! Comes housed in a pasted laminate sleeve with alternate European artwork. More info here

THELONIOUS MONK Way Out! (Archive Quality 1965 UK repackaging of the 1958 7-track mono LP on a rough textured steel blue & silver Fontana label, formerly titled Thelonious In Action. The album was recorded live at the Five Spot Cafe, NYC in August, 1958 with Johnny Griffin, Ahmed Abdul-Malik & Roy Haynes, housed in a UK-only pasted laminate picture sleeve, more info here

ROSEMARY SQUIRES Shine (2001 Japanese-only promotional sample 15-track DSD [Direct Stream Digital] CD, with ‘sample’ stamped inner rim on disc. The album was recorded that year at Red Gables, Studios in Soho, London with British Jazz veterans,Brian Dee, Alec Dankworth, Dave Green, Clark Tracey & more, obtained directly from the personal collection of Rosemary Squires O.B.E. herself. Comes housed in a mini LP-style pasted picture sleeve with Japanese insert & promo stickered obi-strip – more info here

HANK MOBLEY Hank Mobley Quintet (Rare limited edition 1984 Japanese only 6-track stereo vinyl LP manufactured by Toshiba-EMI and issued as part of the Other Side Of Blue Note – 1500 series. Contains previously unreleased material recorded with Sonny Clark, Kenny Dorham, George Joyner and Art Taylor on August 18th 1957, including a version of Debussy’s ‘My Reverie’. Unique glossy pasted card sleeve which adopts the artwork from the ’57 album ‘Hank’, with fold-out Japanese booklet and series obi strip. Such is so often the way with our Japanese finds, this copy is in stone cold near mint condition! More info here
