This copy remains in fantastic condition, with barely any wear visable to the outer sleeve whilst the vinyl, aside from just a couple of the lightest paper scuffs, remains in excellent condition – a very respectable play copyVan Halen Meets MTV VIP (1991 US Warner label promotional only press pack, produced at the time of the tour supporting the ‘For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge’ album, comprising of a 1-page press release about the band meeting MTV Chairman &CEO Tom Freston backstage after a sold-out show in St Petersberg, also comes with a 10″ x 8″ black & white publicity photograph of Tom with the four band members)OU812 Promotional Statue (Official 1988 US Warner Brothers promotional statue, entitled Darwin Ape and based on Rheinhold’s ‘Philosophizing Monkey’. This wonderful sculpture was created by Spanish artist, Francisco Ramo, and faithfully recreated by Austin Sculpture on behalf of Warner Brothers. Weighing in at 12lb/6kg, and measuring 9½” in height and 5″ at the base, this amazing piece was issued to promote the release of Van Halen’s eighth studio album, OU812…Right Here, Right Now (1993 Japanese Warner promotional only 28½” x 20″ full colour poster issued to promote the album release and featuring great live pictures of the band with band logo at top right, title & company logo in thebottom left. This poster was never commercially available & was obtained from a Japanese record company executive. The poster itself is in superb condition & free from any rips or tears – Would look great framed and displayed!
