Here at eil.com we realise not everyone’s pockets are sooo deep they can stump up the readies for that uber-collectable slab of vinyl, CD boxset, vintage memorabilia etc etc….with that in mind we’ve put together this new weekly ‘Top 5’ of some of the more affordable collectables that pass through the doors each week at eil Towers, no items will be more than £50, here’s a few to whet the whistle, to see them all click here

THE STROKES Is This It: 2001 UK Rough Trade 11-track promotional CD-R for their classic debut album which spawned the singles Hard To Explain, Last Nite and Someday. The custom printed disc comes issued in a clear PVC wallet sleeve with a unique wrap-around picture / tracklisting insert. This copy also comes with a red band logo sticker. More info here
BLONDIE Llamame: 1980 US 2-track ‘Call Me’ promo only 12″ vinyl single, including Version Espanol Salsoul – Spanish Version and Instrumental, custom stickered sleeve! More info here
TUBEWAY ARMY That’s Too Bad: 1978 UK debut 7″ vinyl single with intact four-prong centre, also including Oh! Didn’t I Say, great picture sleeve with Gary Numan credited as ‘Valeriun’ on the back of the sleeve, although ‘Valerian’ on the labels. The sleeve shows some light signs of wear and the vinyl is excellent with only a few signs of play, more info her

 

JOHN LENNON Instant Karma!: 1970 UK 7″ vinyl single with ‘Play Loud’ label text, also including Yoko’s ‘Who Has Seen The Wind’, scarce title sleeve. As it usual with a mostly white sleeve, the sleeve shows a little minor discolouration and ringwear, but no rips or tears. The vinyl remains in excellent condition and shows very little sign of play, more info here
HAWKWIND Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music: Classic 1976 UK first issue 7-track LP ranging from the immense ‘Steppenwolf’ homage to Herman Hesse to the very poppy [and should have been a] hit single format of the Dave Gilmour produced ‘Kerb Crawler’, picture sleeve with the original spoof advert inner, more info here
