On July 10th 1964….

….the Rolling Stones began a four week run at the top of the US singles charts with I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction), I couldn’t find a clip of them performing the song in the US in ’64 but did find this appearance on the Mike Douglas Show – incredibly this is 52 years ago!!

  1. Well, it is normal that you couln’t find a performance of I cant get no) Satisfaction by the Stones in 1964 because they create the song only in 1965 and they recorded it the 12 May 1965 at RCA Studios, Hollywood, USA and released the single on London Records the 6 June 1965 in the USA (four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles beginning the 10 July, 1965) and on Decca Records the 20 August 1965 in the UK (2 weeks at number one on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 50 beginning the 09 September 1965. So, look for a performance in 1965…

    • thanks for the heads-up – that’s what happens when you post a story from another site without checking the facts!
