David Bowie Goes Dutch For New Releases

Special limited editions are set to accompany Groninger Museum’s hosting of the David Bowie Is… exhibition this December.

DAVID BOWIE IS… encouraging his fans to visit The Netherlands this December, thanks to a round of new limited-edition reissues celebrating the V&A’s acclaimed David Bowie Is… exhibition moving to the Groninger Museum later this year.

The show’s opening will be accompanied by two exclusive releases – an appropriately orange-coloured seven-inch single featuring covers of Jacque Brel’s Amsterdam and My Death (live) and a blue-vinyl pressing of 1969 album Man Of Words/ Man Of Music.

Both special editions will be released on December 11 and are exclusive to the Dutch museum.

For those unable to make it to The Netherlands this winter, the next releases in Bowie’s picture-disc reissues seriesshould scratch an itch, with two new records planned to mark a couple of 40th anniversaries.

Four decades since Bowie’s first Number 1 single will be saluted on October 2 with a double A-side picture disc of Space Oddity and Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud, the single B-side featuring a spoken introduction, while on November 13 Golden Years will be celebrated with a similarly pictorial issue that features the single backed by Station To Station.
