By sheer coincidence, we’ve two of the rarest real size dresses made in the 1960s! Not that we’d suggest you wear them on a night out, but these are beautiful, genuine investment pieces for the serious collector.
THE BEATLES Dress – Incredibly rare 1964 official Dutch sleeveless dress in white linen with black piping around the neck and shoulders. The classic Beatles logo is printed in blue across the left breast, with beige horizontal stripes below and a striking ‘crossed guitars’ design in blue and black incorporating portraits of the boys, facsimile signatures and musical notation for Hold Me Tight, All My Loving and I Want To Hold Your Hand. This design is repeated on the back. This dress remains in superb near ‘as new’ condition, ustained and unfaded – a wonderful and evocative piece of original Beatles memorabilia! BOB DYLAN Paper Dress – Stunning original 1966 UK Paper Dress manufactured by the Scott Paper Company in non-woven fibre. It features a large black & white portrait of Dylan from Blonde On Blonde period. There are a couple of small tears at theseam pleats near the neck but they really are insignificant. The Velcro fastenings at the shoulders are still happily intact and the image shows little sign of fading or historical staining. Click here for more info
