Our buyers have acquired a small collection of Queen rarities with interesting provenance. Amongst the collection are several test pressings & autographed items. This collection was once owned by Roger Taylors gardener, who had a very close relationship with him and was invited to many of his and the bands shows.
Extremly rare circa 1980 UK 8-track single sided yellow label LP test pressing. Now this item really is an unusual and possibly unique, this features the B-Side to the Greatest Hits compilation but omits Flash, this is the interesting part at the catalogue number in the run-out groove is an unused ‘EMC3350’, the closest you will find is for the Flash Gordon soundtrack [EMC3351]. So this would have been pressed before thr release of the album which would explain not including that single on this pressing. The plain label is hand annotated with the artist name and title Champions, again this could have been a working title for the compilation, we really are unsure. The vinyl has just a few surface scuffs, we have play tested and can confirm there is very little lessening in sound quality. An superb item and a must for any collection.
QUEEN Flash Gordon
Rare 1980 UK 10-track single sided yellow label LP test pressing, featuring the B-Side only of the album [EMC3351]. The plain label has been hand annotated with the artist name and album title along with which side it actually contains. The vinyl has some minor surface scuffs which is usual for something like this, simply used to just test the pressing is fine, there is just the odd background noise otherwise with very little lessening in sound quality & plays without any issues. Fantastic item and the first we have ever seen
