Below are some of the latest arrivals that we have in stock, and you can find out full range of jazz titles over at eil.com

MILES DAVIS The Complete Live At The Plugged Nickel 1965 (Rare 1992 Japanese issue 39-track SEVEN CD box set featuring the classic recordings made over 22nd & 23rd December 1965 with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter & Tony Williams, including twenty minutes of newly discovered music, remixed & remastered from the original analogue master tapes. Each disc in their own jewel case with picture sleeve, housed in a sturdy 6″ x 5″ x 3″ box with metal title plaque on the end of the lid with full tracklisting on the back. Critics have called this ‘the best Jazz ever recorded’ and it is certainly a high point in Miles’ canon with the entire band firing on all six – Essential stuff & long out of print SRCS5766~72)

ALBERT AYLER TRIO Spiritual Unity (1969 first UK issue of the 1965 4-track mono LP, one of the crowning achievements in ‘Free Jazz’, instantly propelling Ayler to fame in avant-garde circles. Also features the stream-of-consciousness playing of Gary Peacock on Bass & Sunny Murray on Drums, fully laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve and vinyl are both easily Near Mint; the sleeve still shows a beautiful sheen with only the lightest glimpse of ringwear whilst the vinyl looks barely played! Highly recommended SFJL933)

ART PEPPER Meets The Rhythm Section (Classic 1957 UK first issue 9-track mono LP on a deep groove label, where Art ‘borrows’ the incredible rhythm section of Miles Davis – At the time, even Miles said; ‘I have the best rhythm section in the world’ – Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass & Philly Joe Jones on drums. The sleeve is fully laminated with flipbacks & just a little minor laminate peel to the reverse with light wear to the edges. The vinyl is a clean VG/VG- with somelight scuffs to both sides. A nice, if not mint, example LAC12066)
