QUEEN Bohemian Rhapsody (1975 UK 7″ 45rpm MONO single-sided metal based high grade methyl cellulose lacquer acetate with hand-annotated “Emidisc” company label stating “Bohemian Rhapsody” Queen from the Album ‘A Night At The Opera’ 45r/m MONO – additionally annotated with a triangular mono symbol. Housed inside a plain die-cut paper sleeve annotated in red biro ‘Dave Ambrose Thurs 17’ & pencil marked ‘III½’ & ‘IIII½’. Rightly regarded as the most famous single in the world, this track has also come to define the point at which pop culture crossed over into high art, with its six-minute run time placing it as one of the most influential pieces of late Twentieth-Century music. This acetate can be placed close to the band with the name of former Fleetwood Mac bass guitarist turned EMI executive Dave Ambrose, who helped guide the band during this stage in their career, present on the sleeve. The label is clean, with all the text clearly legible, whilst the playing surface shows just two faint scuffs, otherwise no real sign of play is present. The sleeve shows discolouration where the disc has sat inside it for decades, giving it a lovely patina. A unique item and an unrepeatable opportunity!)
PINK FLOYD The Wall (1979 UK first issue 26-track double LP with picture labels, housed in the first edition gatefold sleeve which does not list the band member names on the inside, complete with the transparent front title removable sticker and round cornered lyric inners. The sleeve displays minor shelfwear with NO splits and just light foxing to inners, with light creasing to the titled sticker, whilst the vinyl is Excellent with minimal signs of play. Overall an Excellent example SHDW411)
DURAN DURAN The Wedding Album (1993 UK 13-track vinyl LP, includes their huge hit Ordinary World, picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve carries only light shelf/edgewear, whilst the vinyl is very clean with minimal signs of previous play. This is a fine copy of a release from the dark days of vinyl depression, and one we rarely see come up much these days, so grab this one while its still around! – Recommended DDB34)
