What is an audiophile pressing?
Well, in a nutshell, it’s an audio format pressed to help enhance the sound quality, be that on vinyl or Compact Disc.
The idea being the heavier the vinyl pressing, the better. There have been pressings released from 120 up to 200 Gram in weight, usually the 200 Gram will play at 45rpm providing a better audio experience, instead of the standard 33 1/3rpm.
Compact Discs have various different formats, gold was used in the earlier pressing as it supposedly provided a better a clearer sound reproduction.
Mobile Fidelity are known for being one of the leaders in producing vinyl and CDs of an audiophile grade, with the original releases now highly collectable.
We now have Super Audio CDs, SHM-CD providing a high-fidelity-audio, Blu-Spec CDs using Blu-ray technology, along with DVD-Audio using DVD technology, both providing surround sound audio.

There is minimal shelf wear to the case whilst the contents remain ‘near as new’. A stunning item!) ***Limited to only 3500 copies***.
DAVID BOWIE A New Career In A New Town (1977-1982) (Rare 2017 UK limited edition 113 track remastered TWELVE LP box set set pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Comprises the albums, Low, Heroes, Stage [Yellow Vinyl], a completely new version of Stage, Lodger plus an exclusive [to this box set] Tony Visconti mix of Lodger, Scary Monsters and Re:Call 3, which collates 19 hard-to-find single mixes, extended versions and the Berol Brecht ‘Baal’ EP plus a 12″ EP featuring the German and French language versions of Heroes. Also includes a beautiful 84-page companion book which includes previously unpublished photographs. Housed in a 13″ x 12.5″ x 3″ picture box with contents insert, one LP sleeve has a couple of small spots of minor wear, otherwise the box, contents and vinyl are all in superb with mint condition DBXL3).
KYLIE MINOGUE The Abbey Road Sessions (2012 UK limited edition 16-track double LP pressed on Heavyweight Audiophile Vinyl, featuring a programme spanning her entire twenty five year career. Also includes a bonus CD featuring allthe tracks from the vinyl. This new collection features some of Kylie’s classic tracks recorded at London’s historic Abbey Road Studios, all with brand new arrangements and many featuring a full orchestra, including On A Night Like This, BetterTheDevil You Know, Hand On Your Heart, Locomotion, Can’t Get You Out Of My Head, I Should Be So Lucky and many more, along with the previously unreleased Flower. Housed in a high quality individually numbered gatefold picture sleeve complete with illustrated credit inners and an 8-page full size photo booklet).
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live At Madison Square Garden (2014 UK & European limited edition FIVE 180gram Heavyweight Vinyl LP set comprising a near-unedited live record, comprising what was billed at the time astheir ‘final’ show, held at Madison Square Garden in 2011. Like the show, the record runs approximately three hours and features 28 songs which were mixed by James Murphy at DFA Studios to 1/4″ Analog Tape specifically for vinyl. Complete with a download code voucher, all five discs appear barely played and individually sit nestled in textured picture sleeves with glossy picture inners, housed inside the 12.5″ x 12.5″ x 1″ picture slipcase. This example remains in a brand new condition, still factory sealed in the original hype stickered shrink, mint and unplayed! DFA2362LP).
PAUL MCCARTNEY AND WINGS Band On The Run (2017 Japanese limited edition digitally remastered issue of their classic 1973 8-track LP pressed on Audiophile 180gm vinyl, including the single Jet and the title track. This was pressed in Europe andexported to be sold in Japan, housed in a gatefold picture sleeve with lyric insert, download code, exclusive Japanese insert and obi-strip UIJY-75075).
