Ain’t nothing but a jazz thing here at eil.com this week with a vast array of top jazz rare vinyl and CDs coming through the doors, here’s a few to whet your jazz whistle, see them all in our Jazz collectors store.
Clifford Brown – Remember Clifford: 1963 US ‘For Broadcast Only’ 12-track mono promotional compilation LP with ‘deep groove’ labels, promo stamped pasted picture sleeve with promo notch cut. The sleeve shows minmal shelfwear & the vinyl remainsexcellent with just a few light surface scuffs to show for its fifty years.
Tenorio Jr. – Embalo: Limited Edition 2008 Japanese 11-track mono LP pressed on 180gram Vinyl, a much in demand Brazilian Bossa Jazz record from 1964, including the now classic tune, Nebulosa, housed in a high quality deluxe picture sleeve replica of the original complete with Japanese insert & obi-strip, all near ‘as new’
Nino Ferrer – Nino & Radiah: Euro-Sleaze 1974 French first press 8-track LP, with backing from the Lafayette Afro Rock Band [Ice] with additional arrangements from Bernard Estardy. The album was partly named after Afro-American singer Radiah Frye, who steals the show on the front cover, fully naked next to Nino! The glossy gatefold cover [VG-] has a couple of paper tears on the front, unobstrusive to the main print, & a fair amount of scuffing but with all text legible. The vinyl gradesVG+ with just some light cosmetic signs of play.
