IRON MAIDEN Twilight Zone
Every now and again we do find something which is simply the Holy Grail in record collecting, and this is just one you simply cannot miss out on.
Unbelievably rare 1981 UK double A-side 7″ single with picture labels and intact four prong centre, also including Wrathchild, so far so good right? Well this example is the legendary mispressed version on light BROWN vinyl. There are literally only a handful of copies known tohave been pressed, now regarded as one of the rarest & hardest to find Maiden items, complete with the paper picture sleeve featuring the great Derek Riggs artworks EMI5145.
History & Details:
Released on the 2nd March 1981, this was the groups fourth single and first to feature guitarist Adrian Smith, recorded during the period leading up to the second album, Killers, but wasn’t included on the album at the time, actually released a month after & in the middle of the band’s UK tour.
This single was released on the standard black, red and clear vinyl, with both the coloured edition being very collectable. However this mispress has a legendary status and is as collectable and sought after as the Soundhouse Tapes
This mispress occurred when changing the pressing plates from the Red to clear vinyl, the result being, a few having a mixture of the two and ending up with this brown almost muddy effect, very spooky just like the lyrics of the song.
This is a must have item, in an incredible condition, one sure not to be missed.
