The Congregation – Very rare 1958 first US issue 5-track mono LP on the ‘West 63rd’ address label with no ‘r’ below ‘Blue Note’, a “deep groove” both sides of the label & an Andy Warhol designed sleeve. In the run-offs, there is an ‘RVG’ stamper & ‘ear’ etching both sides. Gutsy & biting, this was a high point in Johnny’s career, with solid backing from Sonny Clark on Piano, Paul Chambers on Bass & Kenny Dennis on Drums.
Simply put, this is the best sounding issue money can buy! Click here for more info regarding condition details of this must own Blue Note classic… BLP1580
