While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.
We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.
THE ORB U.F. Orb (1992 UK limited edition triple vinyl LP, comprising the 7-track double album with a bonus 7-track live LP. This hard to find set also includes the two original 8″ x 8″ colour art prints, complete with picture sleeve & inners, all housed in a custom stickered blue PVC sleeve. The sleeve shows light wear with a little creasing to the prints, whilst three vinyl discs have light hairlines and scuffing which mostly affects the live album. A respectable complete copy offered at an advantageous price BLRLA18).
HAPPY MONDAYS Pills ‘N’ Thrills And Bellyaches (Classic 1990 UK first edition 10-track vinyl LP, complete with illustrated credits inner, glossy picture sleeve featuring US candy company logos which was later withdrawn. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear and the vinyl has only some light surface scuffs FACT320)..
TORI AMOS Little Earthquakes (Classic 1991 German 12-track LP, widely regarded as one of the standout debut albums of the last twenty years, as it oozes quality & integrity, picture sleeve with lyrics on reverse & small deletion notch cut. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear & the vinyl remains in superb condition with few signs of play).
