While music was more popular during the 90’s than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes almost obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.
We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock and be sure to keep an eye on the latest arrivals at eil.com.
THE BREEDERS Last Splash (Rare 1993 UK 4AD limited edition 15-track vinyl LP plus bonus 7″ featuring Grunge & New Year. Housed in a stickered picture sleeve with picture/credits inner. Both the sleeve & vinyl are in near ‘as new’ condition CADD3014).
COCTEAU TWINS Heaven Or Las Vegas (Original 1990 UK 4AD label 10-track LP, the Cocteau’s most successful album & one of the classic British indie albums of the early nineties, picture sleeve with full colour illustrated inner. MAZZY STAR She Hangs Brightly (Rare 1990 US debut 11-track vinyl LP, including Ride It On and Be My Angel, superb picture sleeve featuring the Art Nouveau staircase and hallway taken in the Hotel Tassel in Brussels.
