PRINCE Purple Rain Avant de Dormir Promotional Bag (Highly unusual vintage 1984 surrealistic transparent PVC shopping bag, with inner lining of PVC. Between the two transparent walls is a plastic & fabric purple rose, a small open envelope, a notecard which reads “I Love You, Prince”, and a purple vinyl ‘Purple Rain’ LP record, the bottom third of which has been cut off, to make it sit properly in the bag. The bag was specially designed by the Milanese creative duo, Avant de Dormir, and is based on several other bags in a series that began in 1984. Their bags were acclaimed by the fashion press, and orders flooded in from all the major cities in the US. Their most famous creation involved a trout floating in water! This ‘Prince’ variation is believed to be one of only ten in existence, created for senior WEA executives to celebrate the release of Prince’s Purple Rain album in 1984. The world famous V&A Museum has fully documented one held in their collection, gifted to them by Moira Bellas of WEA Records. This amazing example remains intact and complete, with only minor discolouration to the PVC, inevitable after 36 years. A truly extraordinary rarity which we are pleased to offer for sale for the first time…!)
PRINCE Controversy – #31-43 (Rare collection of THIRTEEN issues of the early 1990s UK A4-size officially acknowledged fan magazine.This set is dated from October 1991 through to the final issue in October/November 1993. Each issue is packed with articles, news, interviews, penpals, competitions, black & white photographs plus colour centre page spreads and picture covers. Issue 36 includes an unused 16½” x 24″ fold-out poster. A fantastic set).
PRINCE Sign O’ The Times (2020 UK/EU limited 13LP+DVD Super Deluxe Edition box set. This one-off manufacture Super Deluxe Edition will feature the classic album remastered for the very first time, 63 previously unreleased tracks, and apreviously unreleased 2+ hour video concert performance from Prince’s legendary vault that illuminates his wide-ranging and prolific creativity in this era. Following the successful release of the 1999 Super Deluxe Edition in the fall of 2019,the Sign O’ The Times Super Deluxe Edition represents the deepest dive to-date into Prince’s vault and includes a total of 92 audio tracks across thirteen LPs. PRINCE/ VARIOUS WEA Top 100 (Rare 1985 Japanese-only 14-track promotional LP sampler, opening with the 4:41 version of 'Paisley Park', which was given the proposed catalogue number 'P-1964' for Japanese release, as pictured on the back cover &listed on the label. The single only ever reached the test pressing stage in Japan [PS1028 number] & was replaced by 'Raspberry Beret' for commercial release. The labels are custom white on blue & the record features other then-forthcoming singles by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Phil Collins, Chicago, Eric Clapton, Foreigner & more, housed in a unique sleeve with pictorial/ Japanese text for each song on the back. The sleeve is Excellent with minimal wear - the vinyl is Near Mint with few signs of play PS-264)

The seventeenth studio album by the American singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, including the singles The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, and I Hate You. Housed in a hype-stickered picture sleeve with printed inners. The sleeve on this copy shows only some minor wear to the spine, and the all-important vinyl shows only one or two cosmetic hairlines to show for nearly 30 years in the wild and is in all round Excellent condition. This is only the second copy we have seen here and deserves to be pride and place in any Prince collection)
