Iron Maiden have announced a brand-new 40th anniversary picture disc of their self-titled debut album.
The legendary East London heavy metallers are throwing things back to where it all began to celebrate National Album Day on October 10 this year, with this awesome 12” picture vinyl released via Parlophone Records the day before (despite Iron Maiden’s official 40th anniversary actually happening on April 14).
Featuring Paul Di’Anno on vocals, Steve Harris on bass and backing vocals, Dave Murray and Dennis Stratton on guitars and Clive Burr on drums, the eight-track album reached Number Four in the UK album charts, and includes many live set staples still to this day.
“We didn’t expect it to go in that high,” Steve later told Kerrang! of the album’s chart success. “At first I thought someone had made a mistake… I made them go and check twice and even then I still couldn’t quite believe it.”

IRON MAIDEN The First Ten Years (Extremely rare 1990 Japanese first issue 64-track Ten CD box set containing the singles that were released between 1980-1990, each disc has a lyric booklet picture sleeve which is different to the UK issue. Thebooklet for the third disc, Purgatory, has a printing error as features the details for the second disc, Women In Uniform, on the inside of the front & back cover, this was correct on the next pressing. Also including a 16-page discography booklet, all housed inside a superb 12" x 12" x 2" picture box which is also different to the UK release. The box has some minor marks to the left side, with just a little light general signs of age, and has a split top right corner on the box lid, however all all content remains in a 'near mint' condition. IRON MAIDEN Man On The Edge (1995 UK limited edition 3-track 12" Picture Disc single, also including The Edge Of Darkness and I Live My Way. The disc features great images of 'Eddie' being tortured on one side with an electric chair image on the other. Housed in a hype-stickered die-cut picture sleeve which comes complete with seriously huge fold-out tour poster. Apart from a very light loss of gloss from a small price sticker being removed, this example remains in a 'near mint' condition 12EMPD398)

The sleeve displays some minor general wear mostly to the edges, whilst the vinyl has only a few signs of play, overall an Excellent example EMA800)
