URIAH HEEP Salisbury (Rare & in demand 1971 UK first press 6-track LP on the Vertigo large ‘swirl’ label, housed in a matt gatefold sleeve with the poly-lined ‘swirl’ inner. Obtained from the private archives of a one-previous owner collection, the cover is Excellent, stored away from direct sunlight with some minor ring wear & scuffing to the corners. The labels appear near mint with some light evidence of play by the spindle area. The vinyl is super clean & grades Excellent. On close inspection, there are a couple of light cosmetic blemishes & the odd paper hairline not affecting play. This is one of the hardest Vertigo swirls to find as an original, so be quick, they tend not to hang around for long!).
THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION Freak Out! (Amazing Sealed Debut 1966-71 US 14-track stereo double LP that raised the bar for what was possible within a ‘pop’ album, with four sides of multi-faceted music ranging in style from Doo Wop to Musique Concrète & all stations inbetween. This incredible timewarp copy is a genuine one-owner example and remains factory sealed from new. We estimate the pressing to be from between 1966-71. There are no deletion cuts in the sleeve & the shrink is unopened with the original breather holes& a vintage ‘MFG. Suggested Price’ sticker attached to the outer shrink. Both vinyl discs are MINT & untouched half a century on. This copy is as juicy and succulent a morsel as it was when it first came out! V6-5005-2).
FAMILY Once Upon A Time (Rare 2013 UK limited edition 14 CD box set, the definitive last word on Family, collects the band’s entire back catalogue for the first time. This strictly limited-edition set was compiled with the full cooperation of Roger Chapman, includes all the band’s officially released work with two discs of previously unreleased material featuring out-takes and alternative versions. The impressive package contains a comprehensive 72-page hardback book, tracing the history of the band featuring many previously unseen photos & memorabilia reproductions, a recreation of a contemporary music weekly featuring historic articles spanning the band’s career. Also includes an individually numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Roger Chapman; all housed within a 12½” square by 2″ deep black box with golden foil imprint. The box has some minor edge scuffs, whilst all contents remain in a ‘near as new’ condition, a fantastic item).
