PAUL McCARTNEY/MPL COMMUNICATIONS We Moved! (Super Rare Holy Grail 1977 UK promotional-only 7″ sampler for MPL’s publishing catalogue, sent out in a limited run of 1000 only to publicise & inform clients of MPL’s change of address from 12-13 Greek Street to1 Soho Square. Obtained from the private archive collection of a former McCartney/MPL employee of long standing, sadly now deceased, the specially prepared 45pm disc contains a short selection from the MPL catalogue & amongst the medley of McCartney songs is the only official presence of the unreleased Wings track ‘Tragedy’, complete with the original six-page press kit. The press pack is now rare as hen’s teeth & this is likely to be the only one offered on the online market for a very long time. It sports a front page in dark blue & silver with the title ‘What’s happened to us?…. in large. Inside it contains exclusive printed photographs taken by Linda McCartney by plane of the then-new MPL Building in 1976 before restoration. A wonderful now historic artefact, the press pack remains in Excellent condition with few signs of any use & is nicely stored in the original MPL 1 Soho Square London W1 addressed envelope mailer all this time. The record sits in its original plain white die-cut sleeve & remains unplayed. Highly limited & near impossible to find in ’77, this might be your only chance to own one forty years later…. MPL1).
PAUL MCCARTNEY All Time Favourites (1993 Japanese 36-track promotional only Double CD album set, issued to radio stations and DJs in advance of the release of the then new album, Off The Ground, featuring material from his solo career including My Love, Ebony & Ivory, This One, Mull Of Kintyre & Helen Wheels; within a thin double jewel case with a unique custom picture sleeve printed with the Japanese discography inside, tracklisting back inlay which is individually number stamped inside SPCD-1330~31).
PAUL MCCARTNEY & WINGS A Super DJ Sampler (Mega rare 1979 Japanese 18-track Capitol white title label promotional only vinyl LP sampler, featuring a collection of solo & Wings material. Housed in the unique pink & purple custom back-pasted picture sleeve with notes & discography printed on reverse. The sleeve displays some minor foxing / discolouration to the back / edges, the labels remain very clean with just a couple of light spindle marks whilst the vinyl shows little evidence ofseeing a turntable, a really nice example PRP-8089).
