[From NME:]Prince‘s memoirs, titled ‘The Beautiful Ones’, have finally been given a release date, over three years since they were announced.
Plans for the book were first revealed in March 2016, and it was being worked on by Prince until his death the following month.
Now, it has been revealed that the book will be published on October 29 by Random House, in partnership with Prince’s estate.
Prince had hand-written 50 pages before his death. The forthcoming 288-page book will combine this with scrapbooks of rare photos and original handwritten lyrics sheets, as well as an introduction by The New Yorker contributor Dan Piepenbring.
“‘The Beautiful Ones’ is the deeply personal account of how Prince Rogers Nelson became the Prince we know: the real-time story of a kid absorbing the world around him and creating a persona, an artistic vision, and a life, before the hits and the fame that would come to define him,” Random House said of the book.
