From the NME.
Madonna has confirmed details of her intimate UK shows next year, as part of the world tourin support of her long-awaited 14th album ‘Madame X‘.
The Queen of Pop will play the London Palladium across six dates in 2020, as part of an intimate run of European shows which also hit the Coliseum in Lisbon and Paris.
She will kick off her Palladium residency on January 6, before subsequent dates on the 27th, 29th, 30th and February 1st/2nd.
Tickets range from £60 to £480 and fans can register to buy them here, ahead of going on general sale on Friday May 24.
Madonna will also perform for seven nights at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House in New York from September 12-22, four nights at the Chicago Theatre from October 15-21, and five nights at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles from November 12-17.
Shows at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the Boch Center Wang Theatre in Boston, The Met in Philadelphia and at the Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach are also planned, with specific dates coming soon.
The shows are being billed as “a series of rare and intimate performances to take place exclusively in theatres, giving fans an opportunity to see Madonna in an environment like they never have before.”
For the New York, Chicago and Los Angeles shows, tickets will be allocated with a ballot system, in an attempt to give all fans an equal chance of attending. They are invited to submit a ‘request’ for a ticket in a city and price range of their choosing here between now and May 10. A week later they will find out whether they were successful.
The latest single, ‘Crave’ is described as ‘infectious pop’ and arrived last Friday (May 10).
It will be followed by a Jamaican dancehall influenced ‘Future’, featuring Quavo, on May 17, and the “sonically innovative” ‘Dark Ballet’ on June 7.
‘I Rise‘ and ‘Medellín‘ have already been revealed from the album, Madonna’s first since 2015’s ‘Rebel Heart’.
