HORACE SILVER Doin’ The Thing At The Village Gate (1963 US second issue of the 1961 mono LP on the ‘New York USA’ address label, with ‘RVG’ stampers in the run-outs. Features four outstanding performances by Silver with Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Gene Taylor & Roy Brooks recorded at the Village Gate in New York, pasted laminate picture sleeve with catalogue inner. The cover grades VG+ with nice clean panels & just the odd small paper tear to a back corner, with a vintage UK Dobells price sticker attached to front. The vinyl is Excellent with very few signs of play BLP4076).

Miles Davis Kind Of Blue - 1st - Mono - EX vinyl LP album (LP record) UK MDALPKI719338

MILES DAVIS Kind Of Blue (1960 UK ‘rough’ label mono issue of the undisputed classic 5-track LP, also featuring Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, Wynton Kelly, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers & James Cobb, in one of the finest contemporary jazz recordings ever made, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The cover is Excellent with some light ring wear creasing & the vinyl grades Excellent with a deep sheen & a few minor signs of play BPG62066).

Stan Tracey Under Milk Wood - 1st vinyl LP album (LP record) UK S0ZLPUN445246

THE STAN TRACEY QUARTET Under Milk Wood (Rare 1965 UK first press 8-track mono LP on the blue & black Columbia label, a jazz suite inspired by Dylan Thomas’s radio play, released as part of Denis Preston’s Lansdowne Series. Tracey is joined by Bobby Wellins, Jeff Clyne & Jack Dougan for this inspired date, full of masterful interplay. Includes the beautifully restraint ‘Starless & Bible Black’, the original sixties instrumental version in all its glory! The front laminated flipback sleeve has a small name penned on the back, unobtrusive to the print, grading VG+ with some light ring wear creasing. The vinyl grades EX/EX- with an impressive sheen & just a few minor paper hairlines not affecting play 33SX1774).
