For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

PAUL WELLER Paul Weller (Out of print 1992 UK 12-track LP, including ‘Into Tomorrow’, housed in a gatefold picture sleeve with integral 8-page illustrated lyric booklet. The sleeve is otherwise in great shape and the vinyl has a number of light scuff marks – overall an excellent copy offered at an advantageous price).

OZRIC TENTACLES Jurassic Shift (1993 UK 7-track vinyl LP, with paper, sleeve & labels all being made from an ecologically friendly natural Hemp/cotton/strawpaper. The sleeve shows only some minor edge wear & vinyl is in barely played condition DOVELP6)

SQUEEZE Some Fantastic Place (Rare 1993 UK 11-track LP which reunited the core of Glen Tilbrook and Chris Difford with former member Paul Carrack plus former Elvis Costello drummer Pete Thomas. Includes the singles Third Rail, Everything In The World, Loving You Tonight, It’s Over & the title track, picture sleeve with lyric inner. The packaging is Excellent with just the odd spot of age wear & the vinyl appears Near Mint with few signs of play).
