Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Frank Zappa, Dire Straits, Neds Atomic Dustbin and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

FRANK ZAPPA Strictly Commercial (Limited edition 1995 UK 21-track double LP compilation, including the Dancin’ Fool 12″ Dance Mix [not available on CD], individually numbered gatefold picture sleeve with illustrated biography insert. The sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl looks barely played RALP40500).

DIRE STRAITS On Every Street (1991 UK 12-track vinyl LP, the sixth and final studio album by the British rock band, including the singles Calling Elvis, Heavy Fuel, On Every Street & The Bug, glossy picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve displays just light wear and the vinyl looks barely played, a really nice example).

NEDS ATOMIC DUSTBIN God Fodder (1991 UK 13-track vinyl LP, including the singles Happy, Grey Cell Green and Kill Your Television; lyric printed inner and glossy picture sleeve. The sleeve displays just a little light general wear & signs of age,the inner has no splits or rips and the vinyl shows minimal signs of play, overall a really nice example of this early 90s pressing).
