Soundgarden to release 25th anniversary edition of Superunknown

Soundgarden have announced plans to reissue their classic 1994 album, Superunknown.

It comes just after the album reached its 25th anniversary on March 8, and is pressed on limited-edition 180g translucent red and orange 2LP vinyl, remastered from the original stereo masters.

In honor of the band also celebrating their 35th anniversary this year, a box set of the bands back catalogue is available to pre-order for a strictly limited time only.

Soundgarden were one of the most popular grunge bands of the ’90s, and after their initial break up in 1997, the band reformed in 2010 and released two album as well as performed live. Sadly, in 2017, lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Cornell tragically passed away bringing an end to the band. This new box set is the perfect way to celebrate his legacy when it is released in September, and the reissue of Superunknown is available from April 5.
