A new book on iconic Manchester band, Joy Division, is due for release in 2019.
This Searing Light, the Sun and Everything Else: Joy Division – The Oral History has been put together by former NME journalist, Jon Savage, who also write England Is Dreaming. It will feature three decades of interviews with key people involved with post-punk band over the years.
Former Joy Division members Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner, and Stephen Morris spoke about the group, along with Ian Curtis’ wife, Deborah Curtis, and Factory Records graphic designer,Peter Saville for contributions to the book.
It is currently scheduled for a March 7 2019 release. Preorder it here
