Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Ride, Queen, Tom Petty and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Ride – Nowhere: 1990 UK Creation label 8-track vinyl LP including Kaleidoscope & Vapour Trail. The hype-stickered embossed & textured picture sleeve comes with the album credits inner and has very little evidence of shelfwear, whilst the vinyl appears in near ‘as new’ condition.

The Beatles – Live At The BBC: 1994 UK 69-track mono double vinyl LP, including fifty six tracks recorded between 1963 & 1965 for BBC radio, digitally remastered and compiled by George Martin, great glossy gatefold picture sleeve with liner notes from Derek Taylor and Kevin Howlett from Radio One inside with superb individual photo portraits on the inner spread & printed inners with recording & transmission dates along with producer credits for each track. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear and the vinyl remains near ‘as new’ & looks barely played.

Queen – Innuendo: 1991 UK 12-track vinyl LP, the fourteenth studio album by the British rock band featuring four songs especially edited for the vinyl edition – I’m Going Slightly Mad, Don’t Try So Hard, The Hitman and Bijou, spot lacquered picture sleeve with illustrated lyric inner. The sleeve displays just a little light general wear with spots of foxing visible, the inner is flawless, the labels have a couple of spindle marks whilst the vinyl shows only light signs of play. Overall an excellent example of thisclassic 90s vinyl pressing.
