Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Guru, Depeche Mode, Teenage Fanclub and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Guru – Jazzmatazz Volume: 1: 1993 UK 12-track vinyl LP, an experimental fusion of Hip-Hop and Jazz featuring Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd, Courtney Pine, Simon Law, Mc Solaar, Carleen Anderson and many others, picture sleeve with extensive sleeve notes on the reverse. The sleeve shows just a little wear, mainly to the top of the spine, whilst the vinyl has a few light scuffs leaving it EX-, a nice copy

Depeche Mode – Violator: Classic 1990 UK 9-track vinyl LP, including Personal Jesus & Enjoy The Silence, picture sleeve with lyric inner. The sleeve has scuffs along the top of the spine and the top edge with no splits; the vinyl shows light cosmetic marks with a few light hairlines with minimal impact on play – a solid copy

Teenage Club – Grand Prix: Rare 1995 UK Creation label limited edition 13-track vinyl LP featuring the singles Sparky’s Dream, Neil Jung and Mellow Doubt plus the ‘Grand Prix Bonus Single’ vinyl 7″ which has only minor signs of play. The LP has a few surface scuffs evident but appears in otherwise VG condition complete with its picture / lyric inner housed in the glossy picture sleeve which has some shelfwear to the opening edge and displays a little buckling due to the tightness of the original hype & titled stickered shrinkwrap which is open but remains intact!
