Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Slowdive, The Sundays, The Pharcyde and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Slowdive – Just For A Day: 1991 UK 9-track vinyl LP, their classic debut album, complete with illustrated credits inner, picture sleeve. The sleeve shows only a little light shelfwear and the vinyl has just a few light surface scuffs.

The Sundays – Reading Writing And Arithmetic: 1990 UK Rough Trade 10-track vinyl LP – Their perfect-indie-pop debut, featuring the stunningly beautiful vocals of Harriet Wheeler, includes Here’s Where The Story Ends, Can’t Be Sure and I Kicked A Boy. Housed in picture sleeve. The sleeve has a little light edgewear and, apart from a few light scuffs, the vinyl is excellent – shivers down the spine guaranteed!

The Pharcyde – Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde: 1992 US limited edition 16-track double vinyl LP, pressed on one disc of YELLOW vinyl and one on BLUE vinyl, picture sleeve still in itshype stickered shrink with the small merchandise insert. The sleeve shows just a little light wear to the opening edge and the vinyl has a few light signs of play leaving it Excellent.
