For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

Ugly Kid Joe -America’s Least Wanted: Scarce 1992 UK 13-track vinyl LP, the full-length debut album from the American rock group including the hit singles Everything About You, Neighbour and Cats In The Cradle, hype stickered picture sleeve with picture/lyric inner. Prier to distribution to retail, this copy was price stickered and factory sealed, so has remained like this from new, and therefore in an unplayed condition £75

Weezer – Pinkerton: Rare 1996 US 10-track vinyl LP, the groups second studio album including El Scorcho, The Good Life and Pink Triangle, picture sleeve & picture inner. This example remains factory sealed from new in the original hype stickered shrink, therefore in an unplayed condition £125

Boo Radleys – Wake Up!:  Sealed 1995 UK 12-track vinyl LP including the classic hit single Wake Up Boo, housed in a gatefold picture sleeve with the lyrics printed across the inner gatefold. Prier to distribution to retail, this copy was price stickered and factory sealed, so has remained like this from new, and therefore in an unplayed condition £55
