Colosseum founder Jon Hiseman passes away

Colosseum founder and drummer, Jon Hiseman, passed away on June 12 after a battle with brain cancer at the age of 73.

Hiseman’s daughter, Ana Gracey, posted on Facebook that her father “passed away peacefully at 03.55am.”

He was considered to be one of the most influential drummers of all time, with notable work in Colosseum, Colosseum II, Graham Bond Organisation, and appearing John Mayall’s Blues Breakers 1968 album, Bare Bones. He formed JCM with fellow Colosseum alumni guitarist Clem Clempson and bassist Mark Clarke in 2017, and released their debut album Heroes earlier this year.
