Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including The Sundays, Snoop Dogg, Neil Young and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker’s stage invasion during Michael Jackson’s performance at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

The Sundays – Reading Writing And Arithmetic: 1990 UK Rough Trade 10-track vinyl LP – Their perfect-indie-pop debut, featuring the stunningly beautiful vocals of Harriet Wheeler, includes Here’s Where The Story Ends, Can’t Be Sure and I Kicked ABoy. Housed in picture sleeve. The sleeve has a little light edgewear and, apart from a few light scuffs, the vinyl is excellent – shivers down the spine guaranteed!

Snoop Dogg – Doggystyle: Rare 1993 first issue 19-track vinyl LP, classic debut album featuring the track Gz Up, Hoes Down which was deleted from later issues due to copyright problems with the use of Isaac Hayes’ The Look Of Love, picture sleeve with the original black polythene inner. The sleeve shows very little wear and is graded as Excellent with fairly unavoidable creasing to the inner, whilst the vinyl is graded as VG+/EX- due to paper scuffing, possibly due to the inner & very little sign of spindle wear. A great copy of a hard to find Hip Hop cornerstone.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse – Ragged Glory: Scarce 1990 German-pressed UK issue 10-track vinyl LP including the singles Mansion On The Hill & Over and Over. The glossy fish eye lens style picture sleeve complete with the illustrated album credits inner. The sleeve has a little shelfwear to the edges but remains in otherwise excellent condition with the vinyl in barely played condition.
