Alternative rock is a pretty broad term to use, but it seems more all-encompassing than using hardcore or post-hardcore when describing some of our latest arrivals here. We certainly wouldn’t want to give them the dreaded ’emo’ tag, that’s for sure.
After an influx of rare and collectable alternative rock, spanning ’90s classics right through to the current wave of artists doing the rounds, here are a few highlights from the world of alternative rock we have in stock now. You can search for your favourite artists over in our store.
Joie De Vivre – The North End: Limited Edition 2010 US 11-track vinyl LP, with picture sleeve and lyric insert, pressed on Halloween orange coloured vinyl limited to just 350 copies. The debut album from the beloved cult emo band, including Salt and Next Year Will Be Better. The sleeve shows some light marks from storage, but the vinyl appears unplayed and is in near ‘as new’ condition.
Grown Ups – More Songs: Rare 2010 US 10-track vinyl LP, with picture sleeve and lyric insert, pressed on Brown with White splatter coloured vinyl, limited to just 500 copies for this first pressing. The ones and only full length from the underground Chicago based emo band, including Weed Science, Three Day Weekend, and Six More Weeks of Winter. Both the sleeve and vinyl are in spectacular, near ‘as new’ condition. Very hard to find vinyl copies of this pressing now
You Blew It! – Abendrot: 2016 UK 12 track vinyl LP, pressed on black vinyl and limited to just 300 copies, with embossed picture sleeve. The third and final album from the Chicago emo band, featuring Epaulette and Autotheology. The sleeve has some unobtrusive corner creasing on one side, but the vinyl appears unplayed and is in near ‘as new’ condition.
