SMASHING PUMPKINS Gish – Very, very cool Fully Autographed mid 90s US 10-track LP, the platinum selling debut from 1991 by Chicago’s finest alternative band, which arrived several months before Nirvana’s Nevermind & was the slicker, morepsychedelic-rock sounding of the two Butch Vig produced albums that year. Complete with illustrated credits inner, the glossy picture sleeve is already a thing of beauty – the back panel has been personalised in the most unique way, with the classic original line-up signatures of Billy Corgan, James Iha, D’arcy Wretzky & Jimmy Chamberlin, all in deep red marker pen, beautifully offset against the white & in keeping with the red text print, with special doodles & the confirmed date of 1996 provided by Billy. What’s more, the sleeve shows minimal wear & the vinyl looks barely played. A serious collector’s piece worthy of framing.
BLUE OYSTER CULT Blue Oyster Cult – 1978 UK issue of the debut 1972 10-track vinyl LP, picture sleeve. This copy has been Fully Autographed on the front of the sleeve by the 1987-1991 lineup of Buck Dharma, Eric Bloom, Allen Lanier, Jon Rogers & Ron Riddle.
SOUTHERN COMFORT Frog City – 1971 US 11-track debut LP, pasted picture sleeve. This copy has been clearly Autographed on the front by Andy Leigh, Carl Barnwell, Gordon Huntley, Mark Griffiths & Ray Duffy.
BILL BRUFORD The Bruford Tapes – Fully autographed 1979 Canadian 9-track LP, also starring Dave Stewart, Jeff Berlin & the ‘unknown’ John Clark on guitar, who plays so fluidly in the Holdsworth style that some fans thought it was Allan!vinyl is in excellent condition. However this copy is very special, this has been fully signed on the back in blue pen by Bill Bruford [as Billy], Dave Stewart, Jeff Berlin and John Clark. These were obtained by the previous owner after a showat Toad’s Place in New Haven on the 18th June 1980. This really does look really nice and deserves to be put on display.
PATTI SMITH Gung Ho Giveaway: Coalition Of Independent Music Stores Sampler – Rare 2000 US live 4-track in-store sampler, includes the tracks Gone Again, Beneath The Southern Cross and Spell all recorded at the Riviera Hall in Chicago 1998, also includes People Have The Power recorded live at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in 1997. Housed in a custom card wallet picture sleeve which has been boldy Autographed by Patti Smith across the front in black marker pen!
