Latest rock rarities and collectables, including Canned Heat, Third World War, Steamhammer and more

Trying to explain what exactly constitutes rock music could take a life time. It is one of the broadest genres, and can be given almost any prefix. Prog-rock, alt-rock, jazz-rock, punk rock, psych rock…. the list is endless. It has been the subject much discussion, and rock has even been declared dead on numerous occasions.

Judging by the amount of rare and collectable vinyl we see from almost every corner of the rock music lexicon, the genre is very much alive and well. Below are a few of the latest arrivals we have in stock, ready to find a place in your collection. You can search for your favourite artists in our store to see our full range.

Canned Heat – Boogie With Canned Heat: 1968 UK 10-track mono LP on the turquoise & blue Liberty label, front laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve shows just a little light shelfwear and the vinyl remains in excellent condition with few signs of play

Third World War – Third World War: 1970 UK first press 9-track LP on Fly Records, with garage/proto-punk leanings in the style of MC5, recorded at Island Records. The fully laminated, pinched spine picture sleeve does have some edgewear and minor creasing but all text and images remain clear and vibrant and it comes complete with the original lyric insert. The all-important vinyl remains in superb shape with only light spindle marks to indicate play. An all-round excellent copy of this now very hard to find release!

Steamhammer – Mountains: 1970 first UK issue 8-track LP from the Heavy Blues-rockers from Worthing, UK, honing an early Jethro Tull meets Blue Cheer sound. Includes the live track ‘Riding on the L&N’ recorded at the ‘Lyceum’, wonderful gatefoldtextured picture sleeve with wraparound psychedelic artwork by Chris Stepan & custom picture sticker intact. The cover is Excellent with just a little minor edge wear scuffing. The vinyl is stunning near ‘as new’ with no signs of play.… the world’s largest online retailer of rare and out of print vinyl, CDs and music memorabilia – since 1987.
