Peter Howell & John Ferdinando – Tomorrow Come Someday: Monster rare & highly sought after limited edition 1969 UK-only private press 12-track vinyl LP on the Sound News Productions imprint, an original first press with rough textured label & ‘ridge’, complete with the die-cut poly patent plain sleeve & the orange thick card flipback picture sleeve, with annotated address along the top on the front & signed ‘John F + Peter H. – You’re Our Favourite ‘Extra’ Aren’t You?’ in blackmarker pen on the back £1595

Miles Davis – Kind Of Blue: Historic 1959 US first deep groove MONO issue of the undisputed classic 5-track vinyl LP, on the iconic red & black ‘six eye’ Columbia label with stamped ‘XLP47324-1D/XLP47325-1AD’ matrices in the run-outs. This is the very rare original mono mix, as intended at the time of release, & towering well above its peers, this is the album to end all jazz albums! One of the crucial points to mention here is that the original Kind of Blue mono master tape no longer exists, alas these first issue mono LPs are the best quality examples in terms of sound & instrumental balance [original so-called ‘stereo’ pressings had pitch errors]. A must have for the Miles collector & fascinating to compare to subsequent issues. Complete with the pasted picture sleeve & catalogue inner £295

Budgie – Never Turn Your Back On A Friend: Rare 1973 UK 7-track vinyl LP from the legendary power trio on the black & silver MCA label, opening with one of their best known tracks, ‘Breadfan’, superb Roger Dean designed gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear & the vinyl remains in excellent condition & looks barely played £175
