Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Manowar, American Music Club, Siouxsie & The Banshees and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker exposing himself to Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Manowar – The Triumph Of Steel Rare first issue limited edition 1992 German 8-track double vinyl LP on the green & orange Atlantic label, includes the two-side opus Achilles, Agony And Ecstasy In Eight Parts, the longest and most complex song ever by the band, which has even attracted the attention of a group of scholars at Bologna University in Italy! gatefold picture sleeve with black & lyric inner. The sleeve shows minimal wear, whilst the vinyl has just a handful of small light surface marks across the four sides, with clean spindle-free labels to indicate little play has ever taken place, leaving it in Excellent condition. A stunning example and the only one we have been lucky enough to find.

American Music Club – Mercury: 1993 UK 14-track vinyl LP, the sixth album by San Francisco indie rock group and their major-label debut, hype stickered glossy picture sleeve with a glossy card inner. The sleeve shows minimal wear, whilst the vinyl has just a couple of light hairlines – a nice example and only the second we have had

Siousxie & The Banshees – Twice Upon A Time: The Singles 1992 UK 18-track 2-LP vinyl set featuring a compilation of classic hits including Dear Prudence, Cities In Dust and Swimming Horses, single pocket picture sleeve with glossy picture lyric inners. The sleeve shows minimal wear, whilst the vinyl has just a few light paper scuffs to side 3, otherwise showing minimal sign of play leaving it Excellent.
