Book on krautrock pioneers Can to be released this year

A new two part book will look at the influences, history, and legacy of pioneering krautrock band, Can, will be released in May.

Titled All Gates Open, the first half of the book will be biographical through interviews with the various members of the band through the years, and written by Rob Young. The second part is written by band member Irmin Schmidt and assembled in a “collage” style, featuring interviews with artists and musicians who were influenced by the band including The Fall’s Mark E. Smith, director Wim Wenders and actor John Malkovitch.

All Gates Open is out 5th May 2018 on Faber & Faber in a standard and limited edition version.
