Your Weekly Best Of Premium Collectables including the The Mothers of Invention, Roy Orbison, Fall Out Boy, and more 13/12/2017

This weeks highlights include an incredibly rare Japanese Frank Zappa 7″, and rarities from Roy Orbison and Fall Out Boy. Also look out for more rare items, imports, collectables and much, much more. Just check out our full listing now.

The Mothers of Invention – Trouble Comin’ Every Day: A long long time ago, Uncle Frank & The Mothers released one of only two Verve singles in Japan. This one, with sleeve dated ‘TO 6711’ [Nov 67 Tokyo] was the first & has since become one of the rarest Frank Zappa official releases in the world. Taken from the then-recently released ‘Freak Out’ album, this wide centred 7″ is backed by Who Are The Brain Police? A jolly civil rights themed package all round. What makes this extra special is that the title track is the 2:33 single edit, rather than the 5:53 album version. Sometimes these are found as fairly tatty copies but even then you still have to pay a small fortune for them. This rare example is a stock copy & only the second our Japanese buyer has ever found. The thin silk laminated flipback picture sleeve is untorn, free of stickers or writing. The pink lettering really stands out unblemished & the unique design even sports a ‘psychedelic’ genre header in red. We would grade the sleeve a very pleasing VG+ with just some minor foxing on the back not spoiling the print & otherwise just the very lightest thumb crease from handling. The vinyl has a deep sheen both sides & grades VG+/EX- with merely a few faint paper hairlines not affecting play. A lovely copy of one of the rarest FZ releases in the world! £1150

Roy Orbison – Deroy Sound Service Record: Unique 60s UK 10″ Test vinyl LP recorded Tape-To-Disc by the Deroy Sound Service, listed in the Deroy discography with the title “Roy Orbison Returns”. Features ten “roughs” including ‘Mama’ & ‘San Fernando’ sung in German & a promotional track for Coca Cola not available anywhere else. Housed in a custom 10″ white sleeve signed by Roy Orbison in the corner with annotated tracklist & fanclub sticker, this item comes complete with a letter of provenance from its original owner which is signed & verified. £595

Fall Out Boy – Infinity On High: 2014 US limited edition double LP issue of the 2007 16-track album pressed on Clear & Blue Splattered Vinyl, including the singles This Ain’t A Scene It’s An Arms Race, ThnksFr Th Mmrs and more, housed in the gatefold picture sleeve with the double-sided picture / lyric insert. There is minimal shelfwear to the sleeve and the vinyl appears in barely played condition. £125
