Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Cher, The Cardigans, Bruce Springsteen and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker exposing himself to Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Cher – Cher’s Greatest Hits 1965-1992: 1992 Dutch 16-track double LP compilation, including The Shoop Shoop Song, If I Could Turn Back Time, I Got You Babe & many more, housed in a gold hype stickered single pocket sleeve with picture inners. The sleeve has only a little light edgewear and the vinyl looks barely played.

The Cardigans – Life: Rare 1995 UK 13-track vinyl LP, the second studio album from the Swedish rock band including Carnival, Hey! Get Out of My Way, Rise And Shine and Sick And Tired, along with their version of the classic Black Sabbath song Sabbath Bloody Sabbath; glossy picture sleeve with a vintage sticker on the reverse. The sleeve displays minimal wear and the vinyl looks barely played, a fantastic example and first we have seen in over ten years.

Bruce Springsteen – In Concert / MTV Plugged: 1993 Dutch limited edition 13-track double live LP issued to coincide with his 1993 European Tour, housed in a red circular hype stickered picture sleeve with tour dates on the reverse & lyric inners. The cover is Excellent with minimal wear & no splits to the inners whilst the vinyl discs are both Excellent with very few signs of play. Now tough to find nineties vinyl, pressed when the CD market took over.
