Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Tom Petty, Metallica, New Order, and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker exposing himself to Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Below are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers –  Into The Great Wide Open: Rare 1991 German 12-track LP, complete with illustrated lyric inner, picture sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal shelfwear & the vinyl has light paper scuffs which have little or no impact on play.

Metallica with Michael Kamen conducting The San Francisco Symphony Orchestra – S&M: 1999 US exclusive 21-track 3-LP vinyl set, featuring a multitude of classic reworked highlights from the back catalogue including One, Battery, Enter Sandman, Master Of Puppets and Nothing Else Matters, presented in a glossy double-pocket gatefold picture sleeve with extensive liner notes, great full colour band in session photographs and complete with original picture insert – a unique take onthe bands material. The sleeve shows a little light shelfwear, whilst the vinyl has little sign of play.

New Order – Republic: 1993 UK 11-track vinyl LP, the sixth studio album by the English rock band including Regret, Ruined In A Day & Spooky, glossy picture sleeve with credits inner. The sleeve shows a little light wear to the reverse with foxing to the inner, whilst the vinyl appears barely played.
