Latest rare and collectable ’90s vinyl in stock, including Faith No More, Hole, Smashing Pumpkins and more

For better or worse, the ‘90s will be remembered for a lot of iconic moments, but mostly it will be for the music. There was the rise of Brit Pop and the battle between Oasis and Blur, Nirvana bringing grunge to the mainstream and influencing an entire generation to wear a plaid shirt, the Spice Girls taking over the world, and Jarvis Cocker exposing himself to Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards.

While music was more popular than virtually any other decade, vinyl was on the decline. CD was the chosen format, rendering cassettes obsolete, and causing vinyl sales to dwindle. Record companies began pressing less and stores rarely stocked anything other than the biggest selling titles. Now, many of the albums of the time are considered collector’s items and sell for premium prices.

We don’t always see that many collections of ‘90s vinyl here, but when we do, you can almost guarantee them to be of a high quality both in condition and content. Blew are a few highlights we have in stock, and be sure to keep an eye on our latest arrivals.

Smashing Pumpkins – Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness: 1996 UK limited 30-track triple LP, housed in a numbered gatefold sleeve complete with 12-page lyric book. This album is now hard to find in this format and captures the band in one oftheir best periods. The sleeve has just a light corner scuff in the bottom right corner and the vinyl is near as new. This copy has a label manufacturing issue on side one – it has two overlapping labels, the top one ends at the edge of the vinyl on the final track on the side. We are pleased to offer this very respectable copy at a more affordable price!

Faith No More – King For A Day: 1995 UK limited edition 14-track double LP pressed on Red Vinyl, the fifth studio album from the American rock group including the singles Digging the Grave, Ricochet and Evidence, within a hype stickered single pocket picture sleeve. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl remains ‘near as new’ with little evidence of play. A fantastic example of this hard to find 90s vinyl pressing.

Hole – Live Through This: Rare 1994 German limited edition of 3000 White Vinyl 12-track LP, includes Violet, Doll Parts and Rock Star, housed in a hype stickered picture sleeve. The sleeve has only minor edgewear and the vinyl is near mint.

THERAPY? – Troublegum: 1994 UK limited edition 14-track LP pressed on Translucent Green Vinyl, including the singles Screamager and Nowhere. Custom stickered picture sleeve complete with original lyric inner -still in opened shrinkwrap. The sleeve shows minimal wear and the vinyl appears near as new.
