On this day in 1988…..

…..Led Zeppelin reunited for the Atlantic Records 40th anniversary party at Madison Square Garden, New York, appearing with Jason Bonham the son of John Bonham on drums. Other acts performing included Foreigner, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Genesis, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Wilson Pickett and Ben E. King…..

Here’s a clip of them playing the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ with a reluctant vocal from Robert,  apparently Plant had told Jimmy Page he wasn’t going to sing it but his arm was twisted at the 11th hour…(you can find it about the 27 minute mark, not sure about that shirt though Robert!!…)
