Incesticide, Nirvana’s 1992 rarities collection, already got a limited double-vinyl reissue for Record Store Day 2012. But with its 25th anniversary coming up in 2017, the compilation is getting a new, remastered double-vinyl reissue for wide release. While it doesn’t include any additional recorded material, it has been newly remastered by engineer Bernie Grundman.
The new reissue is due out January 13, 2017. Pre-orders are now open on Amazon for just under $50. If you really want a piece of that 2012 RSD release, they’re going for as much as $160 on Discogs.
Incesticide was originally released in December 1992, collecting unreleased and non-album tracks to follow up on the success of 1991’s Nevermind. Nirvana previously released 20th anniversary vinyl reissues of Nevermind in 2011 and In Utero in 2013.
