From the Telegraph

An album of previously unreleased material by Prince will be released early next year, as part of a deluxe Purple Rain re-issue that the musician was working on before he died.

Warner Bros records have announced that they will be bringing out a Purple Rain  double-album release that Prince had signed off on before he died on April 21. It will include a remastering of the classic 1984 album as well as a second album of music that hasn’t been released before.

The record company are also releasing a Prince collection in time for Christmas. Prince 4ever will be the fourth collection of greatest hits put out under the When Doves Cry musician’s name, and will contain 40 songs.

Released on 22 November, the collection will also include previously unreleased music, such as Moonbeam Levels, which was originally recorded in 1982 for the 1999 album, but never made the cut.

Prince classics Soft and Wet, 1999, When Doves Cry, Nothing Compares 2 U and Diamonds and Pearls will all be on the tracklisting, alongside lesser-known songs Paisley Park and Glam Slam.

Prince was 57 when died at his home and recording studio Paisley Park after an accidental overdose of opiate painkiller fentanyl.
