YouTube Unveils Paid Subscription Service: Good Or Bad Idea? You Decide…..

YouTube has finally detailed its much rumoured paid subscription service, set for launch on October 28.

Called ‘YouTube Red’, the paid membership will allow users to watch videos across all of YouTube without ads, while also letting them save videos to watch offline on their phone or tablet and play videos in the background, for $9.99 a month.

Alongside the Red membership, YouTube has also announced a brand new YouTube Music app “that will be available soon,” according to the company.

YouTube Red will launch in the US on October 28 with a free one month trial. Other territories are yet to be mentioned.
